Krillion Tips: rare answers, faster
You do not need encyclopedic knowledge to score deep in Krillion. These tips focus on habits that produce rare, valid answers in under 25 seconds.
Tip 1: prefer the specific over the obvious
When a prompt asks for a country, a bird or a dish, the first famous answer is usually the most common one. Ask yourself for a second, more specific idea before typing. A lesser-known valid pick almost always scores deeper.
Tip 2: think in subcategories
Prompts like “a sea” or “a river” reward rare members: an inland sea, a sea named after a region, a tributary instead of the main river. The less central the example, the rarer it tends to be — as long as it is still valid.
Tip 3: prepare the recurring categories
Countries, capitals, animals, foods and songs appear often. Build a small mental list for each: unusual capitals, obscure animals, regional dishes. That preparation turns a 25-second prompt into a quick choice.
Tip 4: type fast, confirm once
The timer punishes hesitation. Type your first valid rare idea and confirm it. Going back to rethink usually costs the round; a decent rare answer on time beats a perfect one you never submitted.
Tip 5: rare does not mean long or fancy
A short, valid, uncommon name scores better than a long invented one. If the answer must be a real thing in the category, choose real and uncommon, not complicated.
Tip 6: practice outside the daily round
Krillion.io offers an unlimited mode and themed packs. Repetition outside the daily seven prompts is the fastest way to build the habit of picking rare answers quickly.
